Retirement and Intergenerational Studies Lab
The population of retirees is rapidly growing in South Carolina due to the "aging in place" of residents and to an influx of elders drawn by the amenities of the State. Also in South Carolina is the prevalence of youth living with abuse, poverty, and generally at-risk circumstances.

Our Mission:   To focus research on the social, cultural, economic, and political impacts of retirees across the state and nation, as well as their potential as significant contributors in the lives of America's youth.

Our Focus:   Implementing intergenerational projects, helping others implementing projects, project evaluation, school program evaluation, and consulting on issues related to children or retirement / old age.
